2010 Sea Doo PWC Wake Pro 215 Description

    By: Mike Gridley

With fierce competition in the watercraft marketplace, Sea-Doo continues to roll out innovative design and technology across their models in 2010. And the WAKE Pro 215 is no exception.

The big news is the migration of BRP’s award-winning iControl System to its only PWC designed for tow sports. Just like your motorcycle or mountain bike, the WAKE Pro 215 has a brake lever mounted on the left handle bar. When squeezed, the Intelligent Braking and Reverse (iBR) system cuts engine power, deploys the reversing gate on the jet and progressively applies engine power (the more you squeeze the lever), bringing the watercraft to a stop in an amazingly short distance.

This technology also allows the 215 to start in neutral and put the watercraft in reverse (by squeezing the brake lever at idle) – both awesome features around the docks.

The iControl system includes Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC), as well. This endows the WAKE Pro 215 with cruise control, slow speed or no-wake mode, sport/touring mode and ski mode.

The sport/touring mode allows you to control the rate of acceleration when you hit full throttle – gradual in touring, but hang on tight in sport.

Ski mode uses the machine’s electronics and GPS speedometer to dial in the desired launch (or acceleration) and cruise speeds for perfect towing whether you’re an expert or beginner. The WAKE Pro’s three-up seating, three position retractable ski pylon and fold-down boarding step round out the tow sports package.

All of this technology comes packaged on Sea-Doo’s S3 Hull, a lightweight, ribbed and stepped hull that creates a low-pressure zone to reduce drag and improve handling of the deep-V hull.

With Rotax’s supercharged, inter-cooled 215-hp four-stroke, the Sea-Doo Wake Pro 215 is a blast to ride, cruise and tow with.
