If you like fishing big waters, Starcraft may just have the match for you. At nearly 21 feet long with a deep-V hull and a 31-inch freeboard, the Fishmaster 2100 is set for a comfortable ride and a secure battle with your next scaly foe.
Paired with a 225-hp Yamaha, the 2100 accelerated quickly onto plane. Keep a head up as theres a bit of bow rise during take off, but it settles down nicely.
Unfortunately, our test boat was missing the standard tachometer so we were unable to record rpm, but can report the 2100 cruises like a dream all the way up to its top speed of 50.6 mph. At any speed and through turns, the boat offered a stable ride and always felt well under control. This is sure to keep its owner prowling for fish no matter what the lake, no matter what the conditions.
But what is a great fishing machine without great fishing amenities? No worries there, as the Fishmaster 2100 has plenty of features for comfort and convenience. Up front, theres a large casting deck with battery storage and trolling motor, as well as a mount for a pedestal seat and a 41-gallon aerated livewell.
But the cockpit is where youll likely want to mount your battle with the fish. The toe kicks and high freeboard provide plenty of security, while the latter also offers lots of rod storage. The transom jump seats can be removed to provide even more space or access to the additional storage hidden behind them. And if thats just not enough room for all your gear, more storage is available in the transom and in the cockpit floor.
When youre just bombing around the lake or relaxing after a days catch, the four deluxe removable seats will ensure youre travelling in comfort. This is particularly true for the captain, who will be happy to spend countless hours in the luxurious high-back, contoured helm seat.
The helm offers the captain everything needed to find the elusive big one and does so in sporty style. The black and chrome gauges not only look great, but are in easy view and reach.
If youre looking for a fishing vessel to master the water as well as the fish and help you do it in comfort and style the Starcraft Fishmaster 2100 may just be your best catch yet.
