Whether or not you own land on the water, youâre sure to have fun with the easily trailerable and stylish Tahoe Q4 Super Sport.
The full-width swim platform offers plenty of room to manoeuvre, while the recessed swim ladder and ski tow eye are sure to get lots of use. For those who prefer to watch the action, the engine hatch doubles as a large, extra-plush sun pad. And when you want a bit of shade, the bimini is a great option â although it can make boarding a bit awkward.
Once in the cockpit, the aft bench and jumps seats to either side accommodate up to four, with a large storage compartment under the centre seat that can double as a cooler. At midship, the in-floor storage has a drained lid and is a great size for stowing boards and water toys.
Although lacking a few features like tilt steering, the Q4âs helm is quite ergonomic and tasteful. The switches and stainless bevelled gauges are easy to reach in the faux wood dash, tucked just behind the stylish wheel.
Both captain and co-captain will ride in comfort in the swivel bucket seats. But itâs the portside console where youâll find a handy cooler for drinks, 12-volt power, AM/FMCD player, non-skid place mat and two cup holders. Not to mention the leg room is fantastic.
The bow, which is quite spacious for this size of boat, will comfortably seat two more, with plenty of under storage. The centre cushion hides a non-skid walk through if you want to beach your boat.
Idling out of the marina, it was time to see just how sporty this Q4 SS really was. Putting the throttles down, theMerCruiser 3.0 TKS jumped to 20 mph in 5.08 seconds. Cruising speed was a comfortable 25 mph at 3200 rpm, proving the boat handles well at water sport speeds.
With Tahoeâs exclusive power glide hull design, the Q4 SS rides smooth and dry in straight runs and doesnât bounce or wander. In turns, the stern really bites down and pushes the rest of the boat, making it almost pivot right around.
The Tahoe Q4 SS shows you donât need to give up quality and features to get out boating at a reasonable price. And since each Tahoe comes on a matching trailer, itâs even easier to do so.
