2010 Princecraft SVX 29 I/O

Princecraft’s SVX series is an industry leader in pontoon design and performance. For 2010, the flagship SVX 29 I/O is even bigger with better performance and some new features. 

Stepping aboard, I headed straight to the helm, where the faux wood grain dash was moulded to the contour of the gauges .With the stereo and switches within arm’s reach, the captain will always be in control of the boat and the music! 

To port there is plenty of room for a crowd around the table and plenty of space for their gear under the hinged seats. And for changing or answering nature’s call, there’s a pop-up change area with privacy curtain that can also hold a porta-potty. The fun zone to stern lives up to its name, with a large extended swim platform and a rumble seat. 

The SXV 29 is a luxurious day boat, so it is full of features to make a day on the water a breeze – like the refreshment centre in front of the helm with storage, mini fridge, sink and cooler .When you’re ready for some fun, simply grab your boards out of the in-floor storage, attach the tow rope to the integrated wakeboard tower and don’t forget to crank the subwoofer!

Putting the throttle down, the Bravo 3 drive bit in strong and pushed me back into my seat. The 496MAGMerCruiser pushed the boat from 0 to 30 in 7.27 seconds. Applying a little trim, the lifting strakes brought the bow right up, reducing drag and bringing us up to a blistering top speed of 48 mph. 

With the help of the boat’s full-length keels, turns were pretty impressive for a 29-foot pontoon boat. Although the ride did get a little bouncy as the water got choppy, this was par for the pontoon course. 

The Princecraft SVX 29 I/O is a lot of boat and not just because it’s 29 feet. It’s a cottage cruiser, a luxurious day boat and a high performance tow boat all in one.
