2008 Yamaha Pwc FX SHO Description
New for 2008, Yamaha introduces the FX SHO, the lightest high-powered watercraft in the industry – that is definitely not light on family fun features.
This super-charged WaveRunner promises to leave everything in its wake with its 1.8-litre, super charged, super high-output engine. The 1,812-cc
marine engine is the largest displacement engine ever installed in a PWC. When paired with a hull and decks made of Yamaha’s new NanoXcel material, the ride is sure to thrill.
Ultra-lightweight yet incredibly strong, NanoXcel significantly reduces weight, resulting in better acceleration, top speed and handling. The NanoXcel’s finish also reduces surface tension on the water.
Sporting a couple of other Yamaha-exclusive features, cruising on the FX SHO will be cinch. Cruise Assist, an on-the-water version of cruise control, allows the driver to set and hold a speed. Once set, the rider can increase or decrease speed through the push of a button. In no-wake zones, engage the No Wake Mode and the engine’s RPMs are reduced to keep you at about 5 mph. Apply some throttle and the mode is released.
Dual mirrors, four-step adjustable tilt steering, an extra-large boarding platform with retractable reboarding step and glove box with self-draining
beverage holders ensure you’re driving in comfort and style. And with 26 gallons of total storage, including a 19.8-gallon cooler and rear storage
tub, you can bring along everything necessary for a fun-filled day.
When night falls, use the remote-controlled transmitter to engage the Yamaha FX SHO’s digital security system, then kick back and relax so
you’re ready for another great day at the cottage tomorrow.
